ABOUT THE SPEAKERSDavid Burt, DDS
Dr. David Burt, DDS, FICOI, FICD, is a graduate of Temple University School of Dentistry in 1978 and has been practicing for 39 years in Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania. He incorporated CEREC II into his office in 1999 and was one of the first CEREC trainers since 2004. He also was a Sirolaser trainer for Serona for 3 years teaching 980 diode lasers to general practitioners. Since then he as incorporated CBCT, guided implant surgery, digital scanning and chairside milling to his practice. He has authored articles in
Dentistry Today, Inside Dentistry, The Journal of the Academy of Laser Dentistry, Parkell Today and others concerning CAD/CAM lasers and digital scanning. He also was course director for the basic implant course for Hiossen AIC.
He has successfully integrated and can speak to any of the emerging technologies present today and has experience in all of these venues. His philosophy is that all general practitioners can achieve integration of these technologies.
Tim Donley, DDS
Dr. Timothy Donley is a leading expert in the treatment of gum disease and dental implants. Dr. Donley is a sought-after international speaker, teaching dentists and hygienists around the world the state of the art in dentistry. He co-authored the first-ever textbook (used in dental schools throughout the world) on modern ultrasonic treatment for gum disease. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame, Georgetown University School of Dentistry and then did his specialty residency at Indiana Medical Center in Indianapolis. Numerous other offices interested in providing the highest level of care to their patients have adopted his diagnostic and treatment protocols.
Cary Goldstein, DDS
Dr. Cary Goldstein completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Georgia in 1980, where he received his B.S. in psychology. He received his D.M.D. from the Medical College of Georgia, followed by post-graduate studies in prosthodontics at the University of Southern California School of Dentistry. Following his professional training, he returned “home” to Atlanta and was part of a multi-disciplinary private practice with five other clinicians. In 1996, Dr. Goldstein established his own practice in a new office on East Andrews Drive. He is currently a Clinical Instructor in Oral Rehabilitation at the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry and a past Special Lecturer in Esthetic Dentistry at Emory University.
Dr. Goldstein is the senior author of
Imaging in Esthetic Dentistry, a textbook on the use of computerized imaging in esthetic dentistry. He lectures frequently on this subject, as well as teaches the functional and esthetic aspects of cosmetic dentistry to other dentists. His speaking invitations have taken him to Europe, Mexico, South America and Asia, as well as throughout the United States.
Dr. Goldstein is a Fellow in the prestigious American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry. This group of teachers and clinicians only accepts 100 Fellows across the globe. He is currently a member of the Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity, a past member of the American College of Prosthodontists, and previously an executive board member of the Ben Massell Dental Clinic, which was founded by his grandfather. Dr. Goldstein donates his services to this indigent dental clinic monthly.
Jack D. Griffin, Jr., DMD
Dr.
Jack D. Griffin is one of the most honored and awarded dentists in the country.
Dr. Griffin is one of a hand-full of dentists awarded by his peers Diplomat
status with the American Board of Aesthetic Dentistry (ABAD), accreditation
with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), and Mastership in the
Academy of General Dentistry (AGD).
He considers it a great honor to have been asked to teach many dentists across
the country how to meet their professional goals in various topics including
practice management, digital photography, direct bonding techniques, cosmetic
veneers, and CAD/CAM dentistry. He has lectured at many prestigious meetings
and has been published in leading dental journals.
Dr. Griffin graduated dental school from Southern Illinois University, where he
received a student dentistry awards and then went on to complete a general
dentistry residency at the University of Louisville in Kentucky, with an
emphasis in advanced dental care in restorative dentistry, emergency care,
implants, oral surgery, and special patient care. Dr. Griffin began his dental
practice in Eureka in 1988.
Dr. Jack D. Griffin, Jr. is affiliated with many professional organizations including the following: American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Society for Dental Esthetics, American Orthodontic Society, International Association for Orthodontics, American Association for Functional Orthodontics, American Association of Implant Dentistry, Academy of Computerized Dentistry, and other professional organizations. He has taken over 2000 hours of continuing education since graduating dental school and his commitment to keep learning keeps him at the top of his profession.
Gerard Kugel, DMD, MS, PhD
Gerard Kugel, DMD, MS, PhD, is the Associate Dean for Research, and Professor of Prosthodontics and Operative Dentistry at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA. With an expertise in Clinical Research and Esthetic Dentistry, he is a reviewer for The New England Journal of Medicine, JADA, The Journal of Dental Materials, and the Journal of Prosthodontics. He is on the Editorial Board of the Clinical Dentistry & Research, The Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry, and Compendium of Continuing Education in Dentistry. He is a Fellow in the American and International Colleges of Dentistry as well as the Academy of General Dentistry and the Academy of Dental Materials. Dr. Kugel is on the Board of Directors of the CR Foundation, and has his M.S. in Anatomy and Cellular Biology and his Ph.D. in Dental Materials. He received his Executive Certificate in Management from the MIT Sloan School of Business in 2009.
Dr. Kugel has published over 130 articles and over 250 abstracts in the field of restorative materials and techniques. He lectures extensively both nationally and internationally. Dr. Kugel is part of a group practice, the Boston Center for Oral Health, located in Back Bay, Boston.
Rob Ritter, DDS
Dr. Rob Ritter has researched, written, and published several articles on adhesive and cosmetic dentistry in several professional publications, including Practical Periodontics and Aesthetic Dentistry (PPAD), Signature, Spectrum, Dentistry Today, DPR, Contemporary Esthetics, and is on the editorial board of PPAD, as well as Spectrum, The Journal of the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and The Journal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry.
In addition, he is an editorial board member of REALITY, a publication to keep dentists up-to-date with advances in the products, techniques and research of esthetic dentistry. He is a product consultant to numerous dental manufacturers, and has lectured nationally as well as internationally on cosmetic dentistry, new materials, joint based dentistry and the steps necessary to transform a practice into an esthetic based practice.

In the event of inclement weather (such as a snow emergency) or other extenuating circumstances, CDEWorld may be forced to cancel a course. If a course has been cancelled, we will contact participants by the phone number and/or email address provided. You may call or email our office on the day of the course if you are uncertain of a course’s status.
A full refund will be granted to those cancelling (by telephone or email) 48 or more hours in advance of the event. CDEWorld will not be held responsible for any losses due to travel arrangements made by the registrant.
