It’s A Bug’s Life: A Look at Microbial Challenges in Oral and Systemic Health – Betsy Reynolds, RDH, MS 
Ms. Betsy Reynolds will discuss the treatment and understanding of microbial biofilm. She will discuss the overuse of antimicrobial agents and the direct correlation to the rise of periodontal disease.

Creativity with Ceramics: Optimizing Your Creativity With the New Ceramic Systems – David Hornbrook, DDS, FAACD, FACE
Join Dr. Hornbrook as he discusses the new ceramic systems available and when to use what, how to optimize predictability, effective lab communication, reducing remakes, and a thorough understanding of the cementation systems that will optimize results.

Cone Beam Scanner – Terry Work, DMD
Dr. Work will discuss the history of xrays, the advancements of cone beam technology, and how to weigh the options of whether your practice is a candidate for the technology. Dr. Work will also review the different types of cone beam scanners available and the benefits of adding this technology to your practice.

Hard Cases Made Easy: Implant Treatment & Preparation  – Isaac D. Tawil, DDS
Dr. Isaac Tawil will discuss implant pre-op preparation, surgical preparation, and post-surgical management of implant cases. He will cover the basics of implant dentistry and discuss biological comparisons of natural teeth vs. implants.  

Digital Denture Design: Streamlining Productivity -- David Avery, CDT, AAS
Mr. Avery presents a digital process as an effective option for denture fabrication. He will review the rationale for digital denture fabrication, discuss the clinical advantages of the process, and describe the workflow and time saving associated with the process in his one hour presentation.

Let’s Grow Tooth: Providing an environment where tissues can regenerate -- Jack D. Griffin, Jr., DMD
Dr. Griffin examines the new world of Bioactive materials and how this may set the stage for new opportunities for restorative dentistry. Simply, these materials may offer advances that go beyond the merits of glass ionomers.

David Avery, AS, CDT, TE
Mr. Avery is owner of David Avery Consulting Services, LLC. He is an ACP Alliance Technician. He is well known in the educational arena as he sits on the advisory board of the Pankey Institute, he is the Dental Technology Editor of JERD, and he is the Continuing Education Director, Inside Dental Technology, an AEGIS Communications property.

Jack Griffin, DMD
Dr. Jack D Griffin is one of the most honored and awarded dentists in the country. Jack is one of a hand-full of dentists awarded by his peers Diplomat status with the American Board of Aesthetic Dentistry (ABAD), accreditation with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), and Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). He considers it a great honor to have been asked to teach many dentists across the country how to meet their professional goals in various topics including practice management, digital photography, direct bonding techniques, cosmetic veneers, and CAD/CAM dentistry. He has lectured at many prestigious meetings and has been published in leading dental journals.

David Hornbrook, DDS, FAACD
A gifted clinician and product researcher turned mentor, Dr. Hornbrook guides meeting participants to the realization that they, too, possess the ability to practice aesthetic dentistry at the very highest level. He is one of dentistry’s most famous faces and one of the pioneers of live-patient, hands-on clinical education, as the founder and past director of Pac-live and the Hornbrook Group. He has been a guest faculty member of the post-graduate programs in Cosmetic Dentistry at Baylor, Tufts, SUNY at Buffalo, UMKC, and the UCLA Center of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Hornbrook lectures internationally on all facets of aesthetic and restorative dentistry and has published articles in all of the leading dental journals. A prolific researcher and materials enthusiast, he consults with numerous manufacturers on product development and refinement.

Betsy Reynolds, RDH, MS
Armed with degrees in the dental hygiene and oral biology, Betsy presents scientifically-based dental and dental hygiene continuing education programs nationally and internationally. Avidly committed to making the dental sciences understandable and relevant, Betsy devotes time and energy to publishing articles and book chapters designed to enlighten and inspire clinicians. Her continuing education presentations include a variety of topics involving the biologic basis for oral and systemic disease prevention, microbiological and immunological aspects of oral disease, implications of stress on oral and systemic health, oralpathological concerns, oral piercing and body modification considerations in care delivery, head and neck anatomy and scientific developments  affecting oral health care delivery.

Isaac Tawil, DDS
Dr. Tawil has received his fellowship with the International Congress of Oral Implantology, and the Advanced Dental Implant Academy and recognition for Outstanding Achievement in dental implants from the Advanced Dental Implant Academy. He has also received an advanced periodontal training certificate from Harvard school of Dental Medicine, as well as, the President's Service Award for his volunteer work in places like Honduras, Tijuana, and Lima Peru. He volunteered his time along with several other dentists to provide dental care and implants to underprivileged recipients. Dr. Tawil is a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, Academy of Osseointegration, American Dental Association and the New York State Dental Association.

Terry Work, DDS
With over 25 years of experience as a practicing dentist, Dr. Work has undergone hundreds of hours of continuing education on a variety of general and specialized topics. In addition, he has been a mentor for multiple institutes and currently lectures on implant placement and bone grafting techniques.

CDEWorld reserves the right to close registration when an enrollment limit is reached and to cancel, modify, or alter content or speakers for any course if circumstances necessitate such a change. If we find it necessary to cancel a course, a full refund will be granted. All attempts to contact registrants will be made as soon as possible in the event of a course cancellation. 

In the event of inclement weather (such as a snow emergency) or other extenuating circumstances, CDEWorld may be forced to cancel a course. If a course has been cancelled, we will contact participants by the phone number and/or email address provided. You may call or email our office on the day of the course if you are uncertain of a course’s status.
