A Real World Perspective on Digital Dentistry – Chad C. Duplantis, DDS
Dr. Duplantis will explain digital workflow and how a practicing dentist can incorporate CAD/CAM dentistry into their practice. The presentation will discuss the differences between the CAD/CAM systems currently available on the market. 

Digital Radiography – Ian E. Shuman, DDS, MAGD, AFAAID
 
This presentation will educate the dentist on the importance of digital imaging and the science behind digital imagery. Case reports will be examined and available digital systems will be discussed. 

The Denture Reinvented – David Burt, DDS
 
In this presentation, Dr. David Burt will explain the digital dentures and how they are fabricated. He will show the audience the process from case submission to case completion. Dr. Burt will show impression techniques and examples of typical cases. 

Updates in Diagnostics and Restorative Dentistry – Lou Graham, DDS
In this presentation, Dr. Lou Graham will discuss the importance of diagnostics and how diagnostics can redefine your approach to care. Dr. Graham will explain the relationship between diagnostics and restorative dentistry, specifically covering cariology.

Breaking the Dental Cycle – “Anti-Aging Dentistry” - By Joseph Willardsen, DDS
Today’s patients are more astute and demand better results with minimal investment.  However, sometimes there are no compromises.  Dr Willardsen will help navigate the esthetic demands of patients and offer treatment options that can be replicated for clinical, esthetic and importantly, predictable.
Speaker Information
David Burt, DDS
Dr. Burt has been practicing dentistry for over 35 years and has incorporated many advanced dental technologies in the service of his patients. CEREC®, CBCT scanning, lasers, NTI, and other procedures help him achieve solutions to both simple and complex dental problems.

Scott C. Dickinson, DDS
Dr. Dickinson received his undergraduate degree from St. Lawrence University and his dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.  After graduation he completed an AEGD while serving in the U.S. Army.  During this time Dr. Dickinson received training on and regularly used nitrous oxide and oxygen, oral, and intravenous sedation techniques.  During his service in the Army he performed the duties of both a flight surgeon and a general practicing dentist.  After leaving the Military he entered private practice where he served as the Vice President of Clinical Support for Aspen Dental Management.  In this role he was responsible for the training, new dentist orientation, and continuing education needs of both the company and the over 700 doctors it associates with.  He now maintains an active general dental practice in Pensacola Florida where he regularly uses sedation techniques to more comfortably treat his patients.

Chad Duplantis, DDS

Dr. Duplantis graduated in 1999 from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, Dental School.  He then completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Baylor College of Dentistry.  For the past 15 years, he has been a partner in a private practice in Fort Worth, Texas emphasizing restorative and esthetic dentistry.  Dr. Duplantis has always had an interest in “high-tech” dentistry and has been incorporating CAD/CAM technology in his practice since 2004. Dr. Duplantis has written several articles regarding digital dentistry for various dental publications.  He is a key opinion leader for 3M and a member of the panel of experts on TrueDefDoctors.com.  Dr. Duplantis is also active on the national circuit, lecturing on various aspects of Digital and CAD/CAM Dentistry.

Lou Graham, DDS
Dr. Graham is an internationally recognized lecturer extensively involved in continuing education for dental professionals, focusing on incorporating current clinical advancements through “conservative dentistry”. He emphasizes in his teachings the same things he practices: dental health diagnosis, treatment plans for medically compromised patients, conservative treatment, cosmetic dentistry, and customized approaches to periodontal care, implants, and laser dentistry.

Ian Shuman, DDS
Dr. Ian Shuman maintains a full time general, reconstructive and aesthetic dental practice in Pasadena, Maryland. An educator and author, Dr. Shuman is a pioneer in developing advanced, minimally invasive techniques. Dr. Shuman is the Editorial Director of Continuing Education for PennWell Publishing. He is a Master in the Academy of General Dentistry, an Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and a Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy. Dr. Shuman was named one of the Top Clinicians in Continuing Education since 2005 by Dentistry Today. Dr. Shuman’s mission is to teach dental professionals current methods for creating beautiful, long lasting restorations that preserve the maximum amount of tooth structure.

Joseph Willardsen, DDS
Dr. Willardsen’s comprehensive training in cosmetic, restorative, and advanced neuromuscular dentistry makes him part of an elite group of dentists. His knowledge and experience has allowed him to teach other dentists interested in the field of cosmetics. Dr. Willardsen is able to successfully blend the fields of science and art to create beautiful smiles and a healthy set of teeth and gums. His talent and abilities have made him very popular with professional athletes, television hosts, newscasters, models, beauty pageant winners, and many other patients whose livelihoods often depend on their appearance to some degree.
