Abstract

DH is an underdiagnosed condition that can have a significant impact on people’s oral health related quality of life. This webinar aims to raise awareness of the condition and discuss the steps that can be taken to better diagnose and manage the condition. The webinar will provide direct scientific education on DH and related conditions, exploring the aetiology of the condition, the impact it has on patients, and treatment approaches, by way of presentations of the latest scientific insights and discussions with global experts in the field.

Nicola is the Secretary General of the European Federation of Periodontology, and President-elect of the British Society of Periodontology and Implant Dentistry.

Dr. Charlie Parkinson is the Medical and Scientific Affairs Director for Haleon. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and Associated Editor for the Journal Preventative Dentistry, with over 70 peer reviewed publications in the field of oral care.

​Dr. Rupert Austin is a Clinical Senior Lecturer and Consultant in Prosthodontics at King’s College London. Professor

Professor ​Koula Asimakopoulou is a Professor of Health Psychology and serves as the Dean of Research and Knowledge Exchange at the Faculty of Health, Science and Technology at Oxford Brookes University. Professor

Professor ​Sarah Baker is a Professor of Psychology as applied to Dentistry at the University of Sheffield and a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society.

​Professor Søren Jepsen is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Periodontology, Operative, and Preventive Dentistry at the University of Bonn, Germany.

​Professor Manal Awad is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Orthodontics, Paediatric, and Community Dentistry at the College of Dental Medicine, University of Sharjah, UAE.

​Professor Ana Cecilia Aranha is a professor in the graduate programs of Restorative Dentistry and Laser Therapy.
