Abstract

When patients experience dental trauma, concerns for endodontic practices include the potential of long-term sequelae and effective monitoring schedules. In this webinar, Dr. Judy McIntyre presents various alternative treatment modalities available when dental trauma occurs in patients, and especially when trauma involves children or growing patients. The benefits of CBCT over conventional dental imaging regarding these cases is reviewed.

Author Qualifications:

Judy McIntyre, DMD, MS attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for her endodontics residency. Alongside renowned researchers in the field of endodontics, traumatology, and pediatric dentistry, her thesis and research regarding traumatic dental injuries has been published in numerous professional journals. Dr. McIntyre opened her own office in 2016 and has been active in organized dentistry. She is passionate about sharing her love for dentistry, trauma, radiology/imaging and endodontics.
