Abstract
Digital imaging has become one of the most important diagnostic tools. CBCT, specifically, has demonstrated a great impact in implant placement, orthodontic evaluation, complicated extractions, and endodontic diagnosis. This webinar discusses how CBCT imaging can help clinicians approach cases in a comprehensive manner compared to two-dimensional imaging. The impact on diagnosis of fractures, resorption, intraosseous pathosis, and more, will be reviewed, along with selection criteria and standard of care for dental radiographs, and the benefits of establishing a CBCT imaging protocol as a comprehensive diagnostic tool.

Dr. Lea Al Matny is a licensed Oral and Maxillofacial Radiologist at SeeThru Reports and a Clinical Education Specialist at Carestream Dental. She attended the University of Texas Health in San Antonio (UTHSA), where she received both a certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology and a Master’s in Dental Science. She is a reviewer for Oral Surgery, Oral Pathology, Oral Medicine and Oral Radiology (OOOO), and she is actively involved in multiple committees at the American Association of Oral Maxillofacial Radiology (AAOMR).
