SARS Coronavirus 2 has dramatically changed the way we look at infection prevention and control in dental health care. One of the most significant changes has been in the interim guidelines for personal protective equipment (PPE). Concerns about the potential for airborne spread of COVID-19 via aerosols puts dentistry at the forefront of healthcare professions that may have a higher risk of exposure. This webinar will review the interim guidelines, provide information on how to reduce the risk associated with aerosol generating procedures and discuss the new interim recommendations for PPE, including when and how to place and remove PPE.
