Although advancements in scanning technology are ongoing, achieving accuracy in full-arch implant cases has been problematic—most notably owing to difficulty in scanning certain areas in the oral cavity, such as the posterior regions of the maxilla and mandible, among other difficulties in capturing detailed information regarding the oral anatomy. This continuing education article explores digital solutions that are available to overcome these challenges in treatment planning of full-arch implant procedures.

Full-Mouth Rehabilitation With Fixed Full-Arch Zirconia Prostheses

This case report article illustrates a simplified and effective protocol using a digital workflow in which full-arch immediate implant rehabilitation was undertaken using an implant system designed to protect the biology of the surgical site by means of low-speed drilling with no irrigation. The definitive prostheses were fabricated in full zirconia without metal connectors, utilizing a digital workflow.
