Learning Objectives:

  • Differentiate erosive tooth wear from attrition, abrasion, abfraction, and caries, and grade its severity using the Basic Erosive Wear Examination (BEWE).
  • Identify intrinsic and extrinsic acid sources, integrate the medical history, and apply risk stratification to time preventive, transitional, and definitive care.
  • Select minimally invasive, additive restorative strategies — from remineralization and lesion-level materials to direct composite, vertical dimension management, and biomimetic indirect restorations — matched to severity, esthetic demand, and parafunctional load.

Presenter Qualifications:

Dr. Thomas Bilski leads a general and restorative practice built around minimally invasive, adhesive dentistry. His clinical focus is the conservative management of tooth wear and the additive rehabilitation of compromised dentition — including composite veneers placed with the Provánce Technique® — alongside laser dentistry, dental sleep medicine, and facial esthetics. A returning CDEWorld presenter, he translates everyday clinical experience into practical, chairside-ready protocols that dentists can put to work the next morning.
