Author Qualifications:

Chad Duplantis, DDS, FAGD
​Dr. Duplantis maintains a private practice in Fort Worth, Texas. He earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Dental School in 1999, graduating magna cum laude, and went on to complete a Certificate in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Baylor College of Dentistry in 2000. Dr. Duplantis is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and maintains active involvement in professional development as a member of the Spear Education Study Club and an ambassador for the Seattle Study Club. In addition, Dr. Duplantis serves on the Editorial Advisory Board for CDEWorld, Compendium, and Inside Dentistry, and is recognized as a key opinion leader and consultant for various dental manufacturers.

Jennifer Bell, DDS
Dr. Jennifer Bell earned her undergraduate and doctoral degrees at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She currently owns two practices in the Raleigh, NC area where she practices full time. Dr. Bell is a graduate of the Kois Continuum and a fellow in both the Academy of General Dentistry and International College of Dentists. Dr. Bell is active in the Academy of General Dentistry where she serves on the Dental Practice Council and as a National Spokesperson.

Jeffrey Rohde, DDS, MS
Dr. Jeffrey Rohde currently maintains an innovative restorative and surgical practice in Santa Barbara, CA. He graduated from UCLA with a bachelor’s degree in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics and a master’s degree in Biochemistry. He continued his studies at UCLA in the School of Dentistry, graduating with numerous awards. In 2006, Dr. Rohde became one of the founders of Dentalcompare, an online resource that specializes in helping doctors learn about new products and techniques. His practice integrates multiple technologies from Cone Beam to CEREC to 3D printing. Dr. Rohde has authored dozens of articles and is an international speaker, covering topics such as digital dentistry, laser dentistry, advanced surgical techniques and clear aligner therapy.

Daniel Alter, MSc, MDT, CDT
Daniel Alter is a respected dental technologist, educator, and consultant with extensive experience in restorative dentistry and dental laboratory technology. Formerly the owner of a high-end commercial dental laboratory in Long Island, NY, he has worked with leading dental practitioners and specialists throughout his career. Since joining the faculty of New York City College of Technology's Restorative Dentistry Department in 2008, Daniel has taught courses in tooth morphology, crown and bridge, ceramics, metallurgy, and dentures. His areas of expertise include tooth morphology, gnathology, CAD/CAM, implantology, and ceramics, with ongoing research focused on emerging technologies in dental laboratory science. Daniel is an approved Infection Control lecturer for the National Board for Certification, serves on the editorial boards of Inside Dental Technology and AEGIS, and advises the Greater New York Certified Dental Technologist Study Group. He is also a published author, speaker, trainer, business consultant, and member of both the American Dental Educators Association and the American Society of Master Dental Technologists.

Nelson A. Rego, CDT
​Nelson A. Rego is a Certified Dental Technician and one of an elite group of dental technicians Accredited by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD). He served as Chairman of Accreditation for the AACD and Chairman of the American Board of Cosmetic Dentistry. Mr. Rego currently serves as an examiner for the Accreditation examinations administered by the AACD and on several editorial boards. He is cofounder and owner of Smile Designs by Rego, a dental laboratory in Santa Fe Springs, California.
