Author Qualifications:

Dr. Irina Dragan is board certified and an examiner for the American Board of Periodontology and Implant Dentistry. She is part-time faculty in postgraduate periodontics at Harvard School of Dental Medicine and an adjunct associate professor of periodontology at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Her practice-based clinical practice is limited to periodontology and implant dentistry at The Perio Studio, in downtown Boston, MA.

​Jess Reilly is an incoming first-year dental student at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, currently working as a dental assistant and research associate at The Perio Studio. Her research projects focus on using intraoral scanning and superimposition to monitor changes in soft tissue. In the future, she hopes to expand her research to explore how AI can be integrated with IOS to assess periodontal disease and soft tissue healing.
