The A to Z of MADs

Jon Caulfield, DDS

August 2023 Course
Expires: Monday, August 31st, 2026

Web Only

Abstract

Mandibular advancement devices (MADs) introduced dentists to the world of sleep and airway. As more information comes to light about the causes of sleep disease and airway issues, dentists need to understand how to correctly identify and diagnose patients who are suffering from these debilitating issues and develop appropriate treatment devices and options to assist in their management, improvement, and possible elimination. In addition to airway stabilization with appliances, numerous additional therapies have been shown to improve outcomes and should be understood, discussed, and possibly offered by dentists to patients.
