Dennis Smiler DDS, MScD

Dr. Dennis Smiler graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dentistry in 1964. He attended Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry, earning a master’s of science degree in 1968. Following an internship and residency in oral surgery at Roosevelt Hospital, New York, he returned to California in 1969, establishing his oral surgery practice in Los Angeles and Encino.

Dr. Smiler is an educator of dental implantology. He has published numerous articles in the dental professional literature and contributed to periodicals and text books. He lectures extensively and participates in symposiums throughout the country and internationally at universities and implant conferences. Doctors from around the world attend his seminars and live surgical demonstrations to receive training in dental implantology. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and the American Society of Osseointegration. He is a Fellow in the International Congress of Oral Implantology, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the American Society of Osseointegration, the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the Southern California Academy of Oral Pathology.
