Van B. Haywood DMD
Van B. Haywood, DMD, is a professor in the Department of Oral Rehabilitation, School of Dentistry, Medical College of Georgia. Additionally, he has been the Director of Continuing Education for the School of Dentistry. Dr. Haywood is on the editorial board of the Journal of Esthetic Dentistry, Journal of Operative Dentistry, Inside Dentistry, Quintessence International, and is the associate editor of the esthetics section of the Journal of the American Dental Association. A graduate of the Medical College of Georgia, he has completed over 90 publications on the topic of bleaching and esthetics, including first papers on treating bleaching sensitivity with potassium nitrate, direct thermoplastic tray fabrication, and bleaching primary teeth. Dr. Haywood is author of Tooth Whitening: Indications and Outcomes of Nightguard Vital Bleaching.
