CE: Managing Implants That Are Positioned Too Far Facially
Michael Z. Lamb, DMD; and Fadi K. Hasan, DDS, MSD
Complications resulting from excessively facial implant positions include hard- and soft-tissue defects that affect the longevity and esthetics of the implants. This article, which includes two case reports, discusses the management of these implants, in which clinical approaches are dependent on the implant position in relation to the emergence of the adjacent teeth and as such may involve soft-tissue augmentation or removal of the implants.
