Valerie Cooper, DDS, MS
Valerie Cooper, DDS, MS, owns a private prosthodontics practice and a private general dentistry practice in Dayton, Ohio. In 2015, she converted her conventional in-house denture laboratory into one that creates digital dentures almost exclusively, and she began teaching on the topic of digital dentures. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Dayton Dental Society, and she is a member of the American College of Prosthodontists, the American Dental Association, and Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. She received her BS, DDS, Certificate of Prosthodontics, and MS from The Ohio State University.
Stephen Wagner, DDS
Stephen Wagner, DDS, is a specialist in prosthodontics emphasizing complete and implant-based dentures. A graduate of the University of Southern California, he has been in private practice in Albequerque, New Mexico, since 1978. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontists, a Fellow in the Academy of Maxillofacial Prosthetics, a Fellow in the American College of Prosthodontists, and a Fellow in the Academy of Prosthodontics.

Stephen D. Campbell, DDS, MMSc
Stephen D. Campbell, DDS, MMSc, received his DDS from the Medical College of Virginia. He completed an Advanced Program in Prosthodontics at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine and a Master of Medical Science Degree with a biomaterials focus at Harvard University in conjunction with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Dr. Campbell is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics and is active in several dental organizations. He is Past-President of the American College of Prosthodontists (ACP), American Board of Prosthodontics, Academy of Prosthodontics, American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics (AAFP), Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics, and the International Association of Dental Research Prosthodontics Section. He is also the recent past-Chair of the ACP Education Foundation. In addition, Dr. Campbell has been very active in issues pertaining to diagnostic coding for practice and dental accreditation. Dr. Campbell is currently serving as Prosthodontic Commissioner to the Commission on Dental Accreditation. Dr. Campbell has been recognized with the AAFP George H. Moulton Award, as well as the ACP Educator of the Year and Dan Gordon Lifetime Achievement Awards. The UIC Implant Team was recently (2011) recognized with the ADEA/Zimmer Dental Implant Education Teaching Award, given once every two years. The Department has been recognized with the 2014 University of Illinois at Chicago’s Departmental Teaching Excellence Award (DTEA), a single annual award presented by the University.
Lyndon F. Cooper, DDS, PhD
Lyndon F. Cooper, DDS, PhD, is the Associate Dean for Research and Head of the Department of Oral Biology at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He previously served as Program Director of Advanced Prosthodontics and Stallings Distinguished Professor at the University of North Carolina. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics, a Past President of the American College of Prosthodontics (ACP), and a recipient of the ACP’s Clinician/Researcher Award. He also received the 2009 International Association for Dental Research Distinguished Scientist Award for Prosthodontics and Implantology.
Lee Culp, CDT
Lee Culp, CDT, is the CEO of Sculpture Studios, a dental laboratory, education, and research and product development center for new and innovative digital dental technologies and their applied applications to diagnostic, restorative, and surgical dentistry. He is a pioneer in the use digital dentistry and a leading resource/inventor for many of the materials, products, and techniques used in dentistry today, and he holds numerous patents for his ideas and products.

Jeremias Hey, DMD, PhD, MSc, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Prosthodontics, Propaedeutics and Dental Materials at the Martin-Luther University Halle-Wittenberg School of Dentistry in Halle, Germany.
Olaf Klewer, DMD, PhD, MSc
Olaf Klewer has been a registered dentist in dental surgery since 1997. In 2003, he founded PAR AIXCELLENCE, an association of four local dental group practices. On average, 23 dentists work together at his practices in order to provide medical treatment for their patients. Dr. Klewer works as executive vice-president of PAR AIXCELLENCE. He leads the dental laboratory Keramicon with technicians who specialize in digital denistry and implantology. His business is expanding in 2018 to 25 locations in Germany. Dr. Klewer provides training in CAD/CAM restoration, implantology, and management issues on a regular basis. He is a leading member of an EU-funded research project in cooperation with FH Aachen University of Applied Sciences, focusing on new methods for bone augmentation (printing).
BJ Kowalski
BJ Kowalski is the President of ROE Dental Laboratory a progressive full service dental laboratory located outside of Cleveland Ohio. Mr. Kowalski is a graduate of Ohio Northern University and is an active student of dentistry; he attends many hours of CE annually including membership in numerous study clubs and professional organizations. Mr. Kowalski’s company has been a pioneer in adopting a digital production process, they continuously beta testing numerous material and products for a variety of companies. His organization supports multiple dental schools and dentists nationwide. Mr. Kowalski has lectured on all areas of dental technology, aesthetics, implant prosthetics and computer guided implant surgery.
Michael D Scherer, DMD, MS, APC
Michael Scherer, DMD, MS, FACP, is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Loma Linda University, a Clinical Instructor at University of Nevada – Las Vegas, and maintains a practice limited to prosthodontics and implant dentistry in Sonora, California. He is a fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists, has published articles, DVD training series, and in‐person and online courses related to implant dentistry, clinical prosthodontics, and digital technology with a special emphasis on implant overdentures. As an avid technology & computer hobbyist, Dr. Scherer’s involvement in digital implant dentistry has led him to develop and utilize new technology with CAD/CAM surgical systems, implement interactive CBCT implant planning, and outside of the box radiographic imaging concepts. Dr. Scherer also maintains two online courses: 1‐ Fast‐Track Digital Dentistry & 3D Printing, 2‐ Fast‐Track Full‐Arch Reconstruction Implant Overdentures, and five YouTube channels: “LearnLOCATOR”, “LearnLODI”, “LearnSATURNO”, “LearnLOCATOR F‐Tx” and “The 3D Dentist”‐ popular YouTube channels on dental implant procedures and digital dentistry.

Vincent Verderosa, CDT, is a well-established Master Dental Technician in Deer Park, New York. Specializing in removable prosthetics, he owned and operated Greenrose Dental Lab for over 15 years prior to his current senior position at Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine in the Removable Prosthetics Department. He is a recognized speaker in the removable field with a strong commitment to continuing education and has completed the following continuing education: American Society of Master Dental Technologist, New York University; The Dale Carnegie Training Course; Dr. Peter Dawson “Factors About Occlusion and TMJ;” Valplast Flexible Partial Training Certification Course; and the American College of Prosthodontics’ “The how to course for providing contemporary prosthodontics and implant care for the complete denture patient.” He has also achieved several honors: Award of Highest Achievement, Dale Carnegie Training program; Outstanding Student Award endowed by Northeastern Gnathological Society; American Society of Master Dental Technologist New York University; Certificate of Appreciation from the Indian Health Service, Pine Ridge Service Unit South Dakota.

Frank Acosta
Frank Acosta has been a dental technician since 1986. He has owned and operated three full service laboratories. At AA Dental Design Inc., he has built a powerhouse focused on processing digital and conventionally impressed restorations by utilizing a CEREC inLab to its fullest. Every restoration is processed with a CEREC inLab system, which created his motto “All CEREC All The Time”. He is a software beta tester and a certified advanced trainer for Sirona and Patterson Dental. He has founded and moderates www.cerecondemand.com, which is a CEREC educational website for all professionals in the dental field. He has also established the CEREC OnDemand Education Center in Murrieta, Calif., at which he is a basic/intermediate/advanced trainer for the CEREC inLab and the CEREC chairside system.

Alex Alvarado, CDT, works for 3Shape. He is a certified crown-and-bridge dental technician with more than 25 years’ experience in the dental industry. Certified since 2004, he has been a lecturer, clinical educator, and advocate of CAD/CAM globally for the past 11 years.
Stephen F. Balshi, MBE
Stephen F. Balshi, MBE, received his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering from the Catholic University of America, Washington, DC. He was awarded a Master’s Degree at the School of Biomedical Engineering, Science and Health Systems at Drexel University, Philadelphia, PA with a published thesis on the stability of Brånemark implants and immediate function.
Mr. Balshi is the President of CM Prosthetics Inc., a dental laboratory that focuses on the rehabilitation of the fully edentulous, utilizing state-of-the-art CAD/CAM technology. He is also the Director of Research for PI Dental Center at the Institute for Facial Esthetics. He has been published in numerous refereed journals and has lectured at national and international meetings on immediate function, computer guided surgery, and the CM Prosthetics line of fully edentulous restorations.
Bill Barton, MM, BS, CDT, TE
Bill Barton, MM, BS, CDT, TE, is a Technical Consultant for Ivoclar Vivadent, Inc. Mr. Barton is a dental laboratory technician, manager, and educator with over 35 years’ experience in the industry. He served 25 years in the United States Air Force prior to joining the Ivoclar Vivadent Technical Services Department in 2009. His extensive technical background includes experience in all phases of fixed and removable prosthodontics. Mr. Barton’s role within the Technical Services Department is to provide unsurpassed customer support, lead training/education programs at Ivoclar’s International Centers for Dental Education, and perform in-depth product testing.
Dwight Blair
Dwight Blair is the Dental Product Manager for Roland DGA Corporation. Prior to joining Roland, he served as a Production Supervisor/Technical Advisor at Glidewell Laboratories. His dental industry background also included years of experience with crown and bridge, partial, denture, and sleep apnea prostheses.

Jim Collis, CDT, is a Digital Design Expert for Solvay Dental 360 and has been a Certified Dental Technician for 40 years. With a degree in Science and Dental Technology from Triton College, he was previously a dental laboratory owner, a Laboratory Instructor at Northwestern Dental School for 10 years, and a Visiting Instructor at Harvard Dental School. He sits on the Educational Board for the National Denturist School, and is an Advisory Board Member for Spectrum Dialogue.
Rocky Farahmand
Rocky Farahmand is the Founder and Owner of Finesse Dental Laboratory in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Since 1986, he has committed himself to building a successful company that prides itself in patient satisfaction. He has completed his education in dental cosmetics at the University of Michigan and implantology at New York University. He continues to be an asset to the dental community by offering continuing education seminars that allow dentists to have current knowledge with the constant advances in the industry. He is an active member of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, the American College of Oral Implantology, the National Dental Association, and the New Jersey Dental Association. In addition to the widely known associations, he also participates in the SPEAR Study Club and the Bala Institute of Oral Surgery.
Nate Farley, DDS, MS, FACP
Nate Farley, DDS, MS, FACP completed both dental school and a prosthodontic residency at The Ohio State University. He is currently in private practice, but also teaches nationally and internationally on topics mostly around digital dentistry. He is a member of the American Academy of Prosthodontics, Academy of Osseointegration, and became board certified in prosthodontics in 2013.
Rune Fisker, PhD, MBA
Rune Fisker, PhD, MBA, is a key creator and driver of 3Shape’s solution-orientated innovations and fills his presentations with concrete CAD/CAM technology methods and his vision of the future “Digital Dentistry”. Mr. Fisker has been with 3Shape since its beginnings. Today he is globally responsible for the TRIOS restorative, Implantology and Dental lab business. He holds a PhD from Denmark's Technical University and an executive MBA from Copenhagen Business School.
Larry R. Holt, DDS, FICD
Larry R. Holt, DDS, FICD is currently Director of Clinical Education and Research at Drake Precision Dental Laboratory where he leverages 40 years of clinical experience. Dr. Holt is an Adjunct Professor at UNC School of Dentistry, his alma mater. Dr. Holt has lectured extensively in the Southeastern US and internationally in India, England, Scotland and Peru where he is “Professor Visitante” at La Universidad Catolica de Santa Maria, Arequipa, Peru. He is currently on the editorial board for Journal of Esthetics and Restorative Dentistry, and is a member of the ADA, AGD, NC Dental Society, Seattle Study Club, and is past president of the Forum for Contemporary Esthetic Dentistry.
Rik Jacobs, BA
Rik Jacobs, BA (International Marketing Management), is a founder and the former CEO of NextDent B.V. The company was founded in 2012 in the Netherlands as an independent subsidiary of Vertex Global Holding to complement the dental materials portfolio of its affiliate Vertex-Dental B.V., which has a 77-year track record in developing and producing traditional denture materials and products. Within four years, NextDent became the leading developer and manufacturer of biocompatible dental 3D printing materials. In January 2017, Vertex Global Holding merged with 3D Systems, a company that provides comprehensive Additive Manufacturing products and services, including 3D printers specifically designed for dental applications, print materials, on-demand parts services and digital design tools. Upon this merger, Rik became the VP, General Manager of the Dental business. He holds a degree in International Marketing Management from NHL University of Applied Science.
Andrew Johnston, CDT
Andrew Johnston, CDT, worked as a full time dental technician from 1996 to 2014 for a dental laboratory in Spokane, WA. He became a Certified Dental Technician in the Specialty of Complete Dentures in 2008. Andy has served on the Board of Directors for both the Washington and Oregon State Lab Associations. Andy managed the Midwest and Pacific Northwest Aspen Dental’s Lab Division from 2104-2016 and continued work on their in-house training program. Andy has worked for Kulzer since early 2016 and holds the current position of Senior Technical Field Consultant. He attends and speaks at various events around the World and is involved in the product improvement and training at Kulzer.
Tae Kim
Tae Kim, DDS, is Chairman of Removable Prosthodontics in the Division of Restorative Science, Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry, University of Southern California, Los Angeles, California. He is a respected prosthodontist, educator, and biomaterials researcher. He completed postgraduate training in Prosthodontics at Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at USC, and obtained his Doctorate of Dental Science from the Seoul National University, South Korea. He is a recipient of multiple grants and awards in removable prostheses, and implant research. He has authored educational video series in removable prosthodontics at Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC, and a prosthodontics review book. He is also the author of numerous clinical and research articles in CAD/CAM denture, digital implant overdenture, and digital implant dentistry, and is an internationally known lecturer on these topics.

Guillermo J. Molina, DDS
Guillermo J. Molina, DDS, received his dental degree from the University of Maryland in 1990 and then entered directly into their prosthodontics program, where he received his Certificate in Prosthodontics. After finishing his education, Dr. Molina was hired by a large prosthodontics practice in Washington, D.C. where he also worked with the research and development department of a dental implant company to help create new parts, clinical techniques, and laboratory procedures. He maintains a private practice in Ridgewood, NJ.

Falko Noack is Head of the Research and Development Department at Amann Girrbach. After about 8 years working at Dental Laboratory Glaser in Brandenburg, Germany, specializing in fixed/removable and implant prosthetics, he studied at the University of Applied Sciences Osnabrück, gaining the title Dipl.-Ing in Dental Technology.

Paul S. Olin, DDS, MS, is the Interim Chair Department of Restorative Sciences at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, where he also serves as Director of the Dental Implant Program in the Division of Prosthodontics. He maintains a private practice in prosthodontics and esthetic dentistry in Minneapolis. Dr. Olin has acted as principal investigator on implant research that has included pre-market approval studies for a number of implant systems, as well as biomechanical research on implants.

Kris Schermerhorn, CDT
Lecturer and trainer Kris Schermerhorn, CDT, has a degree in dental technology from J. Sergeant Reynolds College and presently owns and manages a full-service dental laboratory in Virginia. Hefirst began working with acetal resins and other thermoplastic dental materials in 1996. He is the co-inventor of the Myerson HotShotElite injection gun, and co-developer of Myerson DuraCetal, DuraFlex, and VisiClear materials, and the Myerson FlexPress digital injection system. He was named inventor of the year in 2007 by the NADL.

Germen Versteeg
Germen Versteeg is the Owner of DTL Mediaan, a digital dental laboratory in combination with a full-service dental clinic. In this dental laboratory/clinic, they follow a digital integrated workflow for dentures, crowns, bridges, and implant restorations by using an intraoral scanner, as well as CBCT, laboratory scanners, 3D printers, and milling machines.

Marc Wagenseil, CDT, DD, is a licensed denturist and dental technician with more than 30 years of experience. He is the owner of Heritage Denture Centre and Heritage Dental Lab in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, as well as a professional management consultant in dental prosthetics and treatment. He has spent his career focusing on how dentures integrate in the mouth and body and inspires a unique awareness of occlusion, professional growth and business success.

In 2013 he and his wife started a removable lab in Yakima Washington that focus on implants and immediate loading full arch rehab. Jeremy has traveled multiple times to Germany to learn and bring new technology back to his lab. with his knowledge of both clinical and laboratory procedures he has been a great asset to the progression of technology in the industry.
