    Howard Fraiman, D.M.D.

    Dr. Fraiman was accepted into the prestigious six year accelerated Bio Dental Program at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where he received his Bachelor of Science in 1989 and his Doctor of Dental Medicine in 1991. At the University of Pennsylvania, he received his certificates in Periodontics and Periodontal Prosthesis (Fixed Prosthodontics), becoming the youngest person ever to complete this specialty training. Dr. Fraiman remains involved with the University. He has served as a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry, and Director of a Clinical Practice Unit. Currently, he is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Periodontics and teaches in the Periodontal Prosthesis post-doctoral program.

    Dr. Fraiman is a member of the Academy of Osseointegration, American Academy of Periodontology, American Dental Association, Philadelphia County Dental Society and Eastern Dental Society. He is also an accomplished speaker, lecturing on the topics of Periodontal Prosthesis, Implant Prosthodontics, Advanced Restorative Dentistry and Cosmetic Dentistry.

    David Garber, DMD

    David Garber, DMD, received his undergraduate training at the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa, and his degree in dental medicine from the University of Pennsylvania School, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, graduating with post-doctoral training in both Periodontics and Fixed Prosthodontics.

    In addition to his private practice, Goldstein, Garber, and Salama, in Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Garber is currently a Clinical Professor in the Department of Periodontics at the Georgia Health Sciences University School of Dentistry and also serves as a visiting professor in the department of Prosthodontics at Louisiana State University.

    Dr. Garber lectures extensively throughout the United States, Europe, South America, and Asia. He has co-authored texts on cosmetic dentistry and was also a co-editor-in-chief of the Journal of Esthetic Dentistry. He has authored an excess of 60 articles published in dental literature.

    Throughout his career, Dr. Garber has been the recipient of the Sauk Schulger Memorial Award for Excellence in Diagnosis and Treatment Planning; the Gordon J. Christensen Lecturer Recognition Award; the Northeastern Periodontal Society Isador Hirschfield Award for Clinical Excellence; the Professor of the Year Award, University of Pennsylvania; and the American College of Prosthodontics Distinguished Lecturer Award.

    Dr. Garber maintains membership in the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, the Academy of Osseointegration, the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics, the American Academy of Periodontics, and the American Prosthodontic Society.

    Robert Genco, DDS, PhD

    Robert Genco, DDS, PhD, is Director of the UB Microbiome Center and Distinguished Professor of Oral Biology, Periodontics, and Microbiology at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Genco received his dental degree from SUNY Buffalo and earned a PhD in microbiology and immunology from the University of Pennsylvania. A member of the National Academy of Medicine, Dr. Genco has published more than 395 scientific papers, and he and his colleagues were among the first researchers to connect periodontal disease with systemic conditions such as cardiac disease and stroke. He has received numerous awards in the course of his career, notably: The American Dental Education Association Presidential Citation, the William J. Gies Foundation Award; the American Academy of Periodontology Gold Medal; the American Dental Association Gold Medal for Excellence in Dental Research, and the American Dental Association Norton Ross Award. Among other academic positions, Dr. Genco was a Visiting Professor of Medicine at Harvard University School of Medicine and Vice Provost of SUNY Buffalo’s Office of Science, Technology Transfer and Economic Outreach (STOR), where he helped launch more than 80 companies in Western New York.

    Paul Rosen, DMD, MS

    Dr. Paul Rosen maintains full-time private practices in both New York City and Yardley, Pennsylvania limited to periodontics, surgical implant placements and regenerative therapy. He also has appoint-ments as Clinical Professor of Periodontics at the University of Maryland Dental School and Adjunct Professor in the Department of Dental Implantology at James Cook Dental School in Cairns, Australia. Dr. Rosen is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and has served as an Examiner. He has also devoted his time to a number of committees for the American Academy of Periodontology in-cluding chairing a task force that authored an article titled, “Peri-Implant Mucositis and Peri-Implantitis: A Current Understanding of Their Diagnoses and Clinical Implications” which appeared in the Journal of Periodontology. He reviews for and serves on the editorial boards for a number of dental journals and has authored/co-authored a number of articles on periodontal regeneration, dental implants and interre-lated orthodontic-periodontal care and lectured both nationally and internationally on the subjects of dental implants and regeneration for both teeth and dental implants. Dr. Rosen is also quite proud of receiving the American Academy of Periodontology’s Master Clinician Award and and also the North-eastern Society of Periodontists Isidor Hirschfeld Award for Clinical Excellence.

    John Kois, DMD, MSD

    John Kois, DMD, MSD, received his dental degree. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and his Certificate in Periodontal Prosthodontics degree from the University of Washington School of Dentistry. He maintains a private practice limited to Prosthodontics in Tacoma and Seattle and is an Affiliate Professor in the Graduate Restorative Program at the University of Washington. Dr. Kois continues to lecture nationally and internationally, is a reviewer for many journals and is the co-Editor in Chief for The Compendium of Continuing Education in Dentistry. Dr. Kois is the recipient of the 2002 Saul Schluger Memorial Award for Clinical Excellence in Diagnosis and Treatment Planning, and received a Lifetime Achievement Award from both the World Congress of Minimally Invasive Dentistry and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Additionally, he is the recipient of the 2014 Dr. Thaddeus V. Weclew Award, which is presented annually to a dedicated educator who embodies the spirit of comprehensive dental care. He is the past President of both the American Academy of Restorative Dentistry and American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, and a member of numerous other professional organizations. In addition, he continues to work with restorative dentists at the Kois Center, a didactic and clinical teaching program.
