Powder on my Wayward Sons (and Daughters)

Grant R. Smith, DDS

January 2025 Course
Expires: Monday, January 31st, 2028

Web Only

Abstract

One of the tools available for non-surgical periodontal therapy is air abrasion. This innovation allows dental professionals to clean sub-gingivally, as well as on root surfaces and implant surfaces, effectively altering the biofilm and significantly improving oral health. The resulting changes in the biofilm not only decrease the risk of oral diseases but also can help reduce the risks of pregnancy complications, cardiovascular disease, and dementia.
