Peri-implant mucositis and peri-implantitis are two inflammatory diseases that affect the success and survival of dental implants. Their growing prevalence has become a concern for the patients of any clinician placing and/or restoring implants, as no implant system is immune to these problems. This program will feature a lecture and a hands-on portion that will provide clinicians with cutting-edge indepth information on the diagnosis, etiologies, prevention, and treatment of peri-implant mucositis and peri-implantitis.

Morning/ lecture session only includes 4 CEUs for $399 for clinicians and $200 for hygienists.

Lunch is included in the tuition for the all-day program only.

The hands-on afternoon session is included in the tuition for the all-day program only. The lecture session is a pre-requisite for the hands-on session.
Learning Objectives
-Learn how to diagnose mucositis and peri-implantitis and classify the disease from early to moderate to advanced.

-Review the risk factors and preventative techniques for mucositis and peri-implantitis.

-Become familiar/Practice (hands-on) with the materials and techniques that have proven to be successful in rebuilding hard and soft tissue lost as a result of peri-implantitis.

-Learn/Practice (hands-on) techniques to cement implant supported restorations while avoiding the problems of excess cement.

-Review monitoring, improved record keeping, and maintenance of successful results.
