Gerald E. Denehy DDS, MS

Gerald E. Denehy, DDS, MS, is a professor of operative dentistry and chairman of the Department of Operative Dentistry at The University of Iowa College of Dentistry. He graduated from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry and received his MS in Operative Dentistry from the University of Iowa. Dr. Denehy is the author of one book and over 100 articles on operative dentistry. His clinical experience and research interests are primarily in the area of composite resins and dental bonding. In addition to his full time teaching responsibilities, he conducts a private practice devoted primarily to esthetic dentistry. Dr. Denehy is currently on the editorial board of several dental publications and serves as a consultant to many dental manufacturers. He has lectured widely both nationally and internationally on topics of composite resins and esthetics. His teaching honors include the Gordon Christensen Lecturer Recognition Award and the ADA Golden Apple Award.
